Pumps for chemical industry

Pumps for chemical industry can be divided into two main groups:

 

  • Pumps with mechanical seals

Mechanical shaft seals of the pump unit are sealing means for working cavity of the pump. The use of mechanical seals is the most reliable and effective way to ensure safe operation of the pump and eligibility for sealing, depending on the operating conditions both in chemical industry, and in refineries.

  • Pumps with magnetic coupling

 The magnetic coupling is designed to transmit torque from the drive shaft to the driven without mechanical contact, due to the interaction of magnetic fields. The magnetic field is created by permanent magnets mounted in the driving and driven coupling halves. Protective shield located between the coupling halves, seals the working chamber of the pump and ensures no leakage of the pumped product. Magnetic couplings are widely used in circulating pump systems for pumping environmentally hazardous and corrosive liquids in chemical, oil and gas processing industries.

ND NDV
